JOB DESCRIPTION: ASTRONOMER/STAR GUIDE
We're seeking 1-2 passionate individuals to join our team as Star Guides. While a Star Guide qualification is ideal, we're also open to training the right candidate who shares our enthusiasm for astronomy and nature and is eager to learn.
An ESSENTIAL skill is communication and controlling groups of people.
Qualified Astronomer or Star Guide - autonomo or contract (to be discussed) around 170€ per observation, min. 9 x star observations per month.
Unqualified (but willing to learn) - a key part of your job will be to collect the guests and bring them to the observation point. You act as a support role to the Star Guide, constantly learning on the job (just like I did). There will be the opportunity to partake in the STARLIGHT GUIA course.
As you will be driving the work van, you will need to be under contract and covered under our insurance and transport license regulations.
Wages start from 60€ per observation, min. 12x star observations per month.
Opportunity to increase earnings through training and experience, with 170€ per observation being your goal.
Requirements:
Valid driver's license
Excellent communication skills
Languages - English and Spanish (German is an advantage).
Willingness to learn
